Hi, I'm wondering if Carmen is the same Carmen who taught school with me in 1980 at Golestan? I hope so...

Dear Patty, I do not have your email and I did not know how to respond to your question.
I don't think this Carmen is the one you know. She is from Spain; she is thirty five or so, very pretty (she looks like Nicole Kidman), blondish. She is a physicist and now finishing her Ph.D. in art history, in early Qajar photography. She lives in Germany with her husband, Alireza, and their three kids. If you think she is the one you know let me know how to contact you, I will tell her next time I talk to her. By the way, where is this Golestan? I know she has done part of her research in Golestan Museum, if that is what you mean.

Thank you, Mina, for writing. No, it sounds as if Carmen is not the Carmen I knew. Carmen was American and lived in Teheran in 1979 & 1980, but I don't know where she lived after that. She would be in her early 50s now. Golestan International School was a school in Teheran for first through fifth grade children. Thank you so much, again, for writing. You are very kind.
